Correct me if I am wrong . And all you left handed ******* can call in. That bike is not legal in europe. No head light no turn signals, mirrors below rider 20/20. Noo side markers.

If ur not gonna take it on the road and not gonna ride it at night i guess u don't need the light.

Why are you doing this, trying to shed weight?

Mada- welcome to KF! Don't worry too much about what Oldphart says when he's going off...he's had a rough time latley. I'll see if I can't scan some pages in the service manual and post them here. Unless you plan on pulling the guages you shouldn't bother too much of the electrical system. Blinkers and headlights shouldn't make much difference.

Removing the headlights and blinkers will NOT create any negative effects. I have done alot with the bike: exhaust, no air lid, uni air filter, 351 big bore. It all ads up though. If you want to wake up the bike on a budget buy a dynojet kit for the KLX300 yr 2006-2007. Then change the gearing, there are a lot of options to choose from. Check out the sitcky at the top called: ***an updated faq, ride reports, quick links & good all around noob information*** [ https://www.kawasakiforums.com/forum...ad.php?t=20710 ] look for dirtsurfers mod day.

I would keep the light on and keep it switched on all the time when you are out on the road it will be safer for you and you will get noticed a lot more by other road users and less chance of you getting hit.
