hello All, a questions for the masses
New Bike & new to forum
I recently purchased a 1990 zx 750r Ninja (F). pretty nice bike it has some tank damage when I got it. Ordering parts got a little confusing. I see that Kawasaki made a zx-7 (h) and a zx 750 (f) for this year.
Besides the single headlight. What’s the difference?

this is theZXR-750 H from 1990

your bodywork appears to be a GPX-750R
http://www.motorcyclespecs.co.za/mod...x750r%2090.htm
difference is smaller carbs on the gpx, skinnier tires, slightly less displacement (7cc), electronicly activated anti-dive from fork, ZXR has 12 way adjustable front and rear,
other features of the GPX include more fuel capacity, smaller front brakes and a 1/4 mile of 11.1 to the zxr's 10.9.
so they are pretty close but th gpx seems to have been marketing more at sport riders than racers.

Yep thats it, Thanks for the info Kohburn. I wil be needing a rear tire soon. Any recommendations on sizes and brands? (I'll just be riding on the street.) i'll prob have planty of questions ahead as i tinker with it.
hmm, I do not call the F4 model a GPX. Besides the single head light and body work, the different ie steel frame over the H2's aluminum frame, the undersized cams, etc. It still is a good ride, just not a good track ride is all.
as for tires i'd recommend the ones i just picked up - dual compound with a harder center section to get more miles out of the tire if you commute like i do but sticky sidewalls for good cornering. the conti road attack tires - good prices too generally stick with stock sizing but mine was listed as stock being a 160 rear and i have a 180 on it
