Default Chain hitting Swing-arm

Hey guys, ijust boughta 03 zx7r and the chain had a lot of slack on it. I had it stretched and it's better now but if the chain bounces it still hits the swing-arm at the section where the swing-arm is closest to the chain. Should I be concerned? My first bike was shaft-drive so I'm not sure.
Thanks,

how many miles are on the chain?
is it tracking straight?
make sure that chain is tight otherwise it could bind, slip or snap either way not pretty!

Slapping under a load or while the ride is on the stand?

the bike has 2200 miles on it. If I run over a bump I can hear it slapping the swing-arm. When it's on the stand i can move the chain up and it will hit the swing-arm where the chain is closet to it.

tighten that chain up! also do you still have the stock chain gaurds? they should prevent the chain from slapping the swing arm. anyways just make sure your wheel is tracking straight b4 you are done otherwise you will have bad wear and traction on your rear tire, also your bike will want to dip in the opposite direction that the tire is off. ok there is my two cents.
