01' zx7r NO POWER
I ran my engine till operating temp. Everything's Fine!
I'm pretty sure I had'nt touched anything electrical at all.
So I go to do my carb sync today, I hook up the calibration gauge wire to the #1 carb and try to start it.... NOTHING.
NO Indication of power whatsoever. Brand new batt! The oil light doesnt come on. The wires dont even spark when I hook up the batt! I try a car batt... NOTHING!
I hook up the charger to the batt 12v at 1-6amps.. nothing. So I jiggle all my connections around just to make sure nothings loose.. checked All fuses... Nothing! AGGH!
What should I start replacing? Relays? What should I start checking with the ohmmeter?
BTW It sucks walking to work when you're sick
thanks

I even tried to push start it by myself (not to actually get it to start but to get the mechanical parts inside to turn incase something was sticking like in the past). NO, this seems like a purely electrical problem.
no lights.
there was
no audible clicking... the batt and connections were cold to the physical touch. If All power has to go through the key-lock-cylinder.... How do you hot wire these things? I dont even wanna open my key-lock-cylinder up. I'll just turn it into a push-start.

damn bro.. ya check the 30 A fuse on the solenoid? its the main power fuse for EVERYTHING..
jump the solenoid with a screwdriver (make sure you're in neutral!!) to make sure you got a ground and all..
i've never heard of a calibration wire for a sync setup tho...

I'll post a pic for ya
edit: oops....everytime I said "calibration gauge" I meant "calibration manifold"

In that pic, I put a screwdriver on that right sided (upper) lead and then connected it to the batt.. the starter turned over fine.

so back to my original question.....
How do you Hot wire these things?
Put in a switch in place of the ignition key-cylinder.
Screw the security factor.. I just dont wanna be left stranded again!
If you need me to show proof of my title...FINE
If you want me to take a pic next to it to proove its mine.. FINE
thanks

RE: 01' zx7r NO POWER
please guys...
Dont make me break the key off in the ignition cylinder! LOL
I finished my carb synch and rode to work without a front end on at all. No lights, no fairings, no air intake baffles, nothing Haha
It feels like it runs sooo much better at lower rpms!
Here was my process:
idle at 1100
adjusted 1-2
adjusted 3-4
adjusted all
turn idle back to 1100
(cause engine was dying)
adjusted 1-2 again
cause they were off
The screws were SOOOO sensitive to being touched at all
