Default zzr600 vs. zx6r

hey guys i just found an '01 zx6r for $3700 with about 9000 miles on it. I've been looking for an '05 ZZR but the pricing is looking around $5000-6000. you guys think i should i spend the extra money for the newer model? same bike right? miles aren't unreasonable. assuming its been well taken care of whats your thoughts?

basically the 00-02 zx6r was the same as the 05-06 zzr600, they didnt change much beside the color scheme, and alot of parts are interchangeable between the both, i would get the 1 that most suit u the best and price range

if it's your first bike, get the older zx6r. if not go for the 636, you'll be happy with the extra torque i'm sure.

Also your decision will depend on how much you want to spend. The 01 ZX6R & ZZR's are more comfortable on long rides.

The '01 ZX6R and the 05+ ZZR600 are the same exact bike. The only thing that was changed is the seat and the clip-ons, which were changed to make it more comfortable for long distance riding. Oh yeah, and the ZZR600 has 1 extra horsepower. I am with Joe on this one... If this is your first bike, get the cheaper one because you're gonna lay it down. Everyone lays their first bike down, and if they don't, they lay their second bike down. If you're more experienced, then it's just a matter of how much you want to spend for the same bike. Or you could go with the 636 for the same price as the ZZR, and you'd have a lot more power and torque with a lot more mid-range punch.
