ZZR 600=old ZX6, right?
Hey all, my buddy is looking at getting a new ride and was considering the the 2006 ZZR600, I was taking a look at it thinking about mods he could do with it and noticed the bike looks exactly like the older (2 previous generations) ZX6. I would assume that installing a slip on or full system would be the same part on the ZZR as on the older ZX6 right? Since the bike is the 2006 model, I haven't been able to find any exhaust part numbers to confirm this. Anyone know for sure??
The new ZZR 600 is identical cosmetically to the older ZX6R but there have been a few minor drive train updates. I own a 2002 ZX6R (that's it pictured on the right) and I parked it next to a new ZZR600 that was sitting outside the dealership and they really are identical. You will find that most aftermarket parts list both models, but you'll need to check the specific part to be sure. That probably wasn't much help.
Just to clarify, I'm assuming you're talking about the older ZX6-R, not the ZX6. There is a toned down milder bike called the ZX6. From your reference to the ZZR 600 I assumed you meant the R. Just wanted to be sure.
