ZX6 G2 won't idle when cold
Good evening folks,
I have a 1999 ZX6r G2 with a Micron pipe (removable baffle, currently installed). It's a pain in the cold weather here at the moment.
It still start on full choke and either idle for a few seconds or rev up for a couple of seconds before dropping back down. The idle will then drop slowly for another few seconds until it stalls.
It will then need throttle to start and keep running. Changing the choke position might keep it running for a few seconds but it will drop down and stall again without throttle (which is very 'woolly' at this point).
Once warm it idles around 1400rpm consistently and seems to make the right amount of power. Throttle response in the mid-range does seem to lag though.
I don't know much about what has or hasn't been done. I like to tinker but I would like some tips on what to tinker with first.
I did balance the carbs but that's it so far.
Thanks
