Default ZX-6R vs 650R

What are the biggest differences between the 650R and the ZX-6R? I figure the ZX handles a little better and is a little quicker but how much of a difference? Worth the extra $1500? Right now I have a KLX250, which I love and would keep it for off road, but thinking about a sport bike in about a year. Any info your can throw out to me is greatly appreciated!

650R more relaxed riding position with commuting in mind. Zx-6R more race oriented with a more leaned riding position. Insurance on the ZX-6R is problably a lot more expensive also. Your best bet is to go in between the 2 bikes and go with the ZZR600.

Performance wise, there seems to be a pretty big difference but i havent reallyridden the 650R much, itjust has a different feel to it. I was considering getting a 650R until Irode it. I didnt like the position it was at and didnt feel comfortable riding it, but its all about personal preference. I prefer the aggressive style of the zx6r, but as korax said, the zzr is a very good in between bike with not much performance loss with still a comfortable seating position. Just go try them out and see which one feels right to you

Completely different bikes really. Parallel twin VS in line 4. Steel frame VS alloy. Excellent suspension VS almost no adjustments.

The ZX is a race oriented bike while the 650 is more of a real world bike. Totally different ergonomics and power delivery as well.

to me the zx6r's is a sport bike less comfortable and better handleing vs the zzr600 and 650r's are sport/sport tourers are more comfortable and don't handle as good in the curves or the track vs the zx6r's, plus they are down on power also and they both weight alot more than the zx6r's to

Not much better handling...or lighter than the 05-07 zzr's. Prior to that the zzr's really were sport tourers.
