What I've been Doing
Got a couple PM's from guys asking me where I went or what's going on.
Bottom line is that I have not been able to ride since Oct 24th. Had knee surgery on the 25th and they replaced, not repaired, but REPLACED, the ACL, PCL, and other bits in my left knee in order to try and fix all the damage that was done back in August. I was riding dirt and got hit while setting up for a left turn and ended up dislocating my left knee to the point that it was almost amputated, but I got lucky and kept the leg. So, now I am going through the recovery mode and going nut's because I can't ride any of the bikes. Every other day I go out and sit on the Aprilia to see if I can get the left foot up on the peg yet, and no go so far. About all I do now is crank the bikes every Sunday and run them to temp for a bit.
Soooooooooo...............
Time to bite the bullet.
My name is Ron, and I am a bikeaholic. Now I feel better
My wife is a bit pissed at me right now because she seems to think that 8 bikes is too many. So what do I do? I found out that I can get on my son's CRF 250R without too many issues and get my foot up on the peg and shift, so the search was on!
I bought a dual sport baby! I picked up a Suzuki DR 650 with all sort of goodies and should see it delivered right after New Years!Got an 04 in VERY clean condition! Going to use it as a commuter until I heal up completely, then it gets the full on adventure routine coming at it!
I am hoping that I can do a track day again come May, but we'll see. The 636 is pretty much prepped at this point and all it needs is decent track tires and maybe get the break in oil out of the crankcase, but other than that, she is ready to roll. Got the steering damper last week which was about the last "needed" item!
Anyways, here is a peek of the new toy!

To those that have PM'd, thankd for thinking bout me and my son!
