What exhaust sounds the best and performs
I am looking to get an exhaust for my 07 zx6r there are many to choose from right now I know what ones not to get. I am not sure if I want to get a full system or just a slip on. I am looking for the best sound I can get and performance I can get. I would like to know what people think who have had the exhausts and what is the best.
Ummm sometimes sound and performance are mutually exclusive. What is the general "slant" of your bike? Chrome? Carbon? Titanium/satin finish? The reason I ask, is that I personally wouldn't want some gaudy; shiny chrome can stuck on my ride if everything else is a subdued theme.Ifyou have a bunch of tricky titanium or c-fiber goodies, why not compliment the scheme with a Ti or c-fiber can? Narrow your search based on theme, first, then look at the performance and sound variables. You don't want it to look like crap when it's parked, even if it sounds great and goes fast.
im pretty sure everyone will tell you that whatever they have on their bike is the one to get
it all comes down to preference, in reality most exhausts deliever .5-4 hp which is less of a difference than the weight they save, which you as a normal person probably wont feel.
since i dont want something loud as hell and i want something stock-ish looking im leaning towards micron/jardine/akra...
but thats me if you want something that says and looks aftermarket for something like yoshi they are loud, sound good, and give a good hp boost for a good price, there are also things like beet and krtuned that are pricey but do about the same thing
really from bottom to top you are looking at a maybe 0-5hp gain
so basically get something you like otherwise its pointless
ramble ramble ramble drunk ramble

If you don't like the High-Pitch tiny sound you typacly get out of a motorcycle after market exhaust, go with a Micron. Generally one of the better exhausts as far as performance. The decibal level is far above most states legal limits. Also can come in a wide variety of custom colors and color fades.
If you want lots of performance, get a Full system and do the ECU Jumper mod. You should get up to 10 HP compared to stock.
i like my full vance&hines exhaust - has a real nice tone to it. but i also don't have the same model bike so i cna't say muhc about what it would be like for yours.
We have a Leo on the Kawi and a full Titanium Arata on the Honda...love them both...stay away from D&D...toooooo damn loud... ...that's my 2 cents...
