Just bought an R title bike. Previous owner told me it was a 2006 zx6rr(600). went to buy parts for it and found they didnt fit so i checked the vin #. It says i have a 2006 zx636-2b ninja zx6r. After more searching i saw the 2b is a 2004. Can a 2b be a 2006 like the vin says?

 

You are talking about the frame vin# and not of the engine number. double check your engine numbers then for any parts that you may need. a reconditioned ride is all good if you know what goes where.

are the frame and engine vin supposed to be the same. i thought they were. seller said only plastics and subframe under seat were bad. frame engine forks all good. where can i find vin on engine? any thoughts on the b2 issue?
