I'm having trouble catching 1st gear all of the time and sometimes even 2nd gear on my 04 ZX-6R. If I pop the clutch in 2nd I can usually then shift into neutral or 1st gear. Once I get it into 1st gear when you press down on the clutch lever instead of standing strong the lever goes down about a half step.. Anybody have any idea if this is a tranny or clutch issue. Thanks in advance to any posts.

 

Well I have a 03 zx636 and it was suffering from the same problem..I recommnend a detent evo trans kit from factory pro... the shifting on the bike is the problem... what this kit does it provides a shift rod with rollerbearings so shifting in to gears is smoother... check it out.. or call them the website is factorypro.com
