Then you probubly really didn't hit 189. It was probubly closer to 170 maybe. Still up there though.

Just an add in folks, Yes, the speedo is always off just like the hp and torque figures.

I have an old zx7 that I have raced for years with some slight tweaks. Depending on my exit of the last corner, front straight of just shy of 3/4 of a mile, and getting to the brake markers, in 5th gear, I was at 156mph. This ride has never been dynoed. It is not a 6 but just threw that into the topic.

i got to say that i did not no the tires affect the speedometer that is good to no i got the kaw to 160 but to no its off now bothers me

 

You are both are right but just remember like me and most other riders if you are going to ride that fast PLEASE take it to the track dont endanger yourself and others by trying to satisfy your inner craving for speed after all thats what the racetrack is for
