Temp Guage not responding

Default Temp Guage not responding

Hi guys, I have a 2000 Ninja Zx6R and when i try to check my temp it just reads ( --- ) and ideas? i figured there was a temp sensor for the gauge maybe its not connected or corroded can anyone tell me where it is? i found the sensor in the radiator but im not sure that its the same one? and thoughts? Thanks

There is a temp sensor on the cylinder headand a fan switch on the radiator. The Temp sensor should be onrear of the headand the fan switch on the LH side of the radiator above the hose. Here's a pic.
