Default starting up after rest

ive noticed that if i havent riden my bike in a couple days when i go to start it up. its alittle more difficult. when i start it seems like it barely starts and idles very low and i kill it and start it again and let it warm up. the last time i started it i didnt run it for a couple of days and i finaly got it started it warmed up to about 140 and i gave it alittle gas while still in neutral and it shut off. so when i started it back up again it was fine but again it was kind of a pain to start it back up. is this normal or should i have the maintainence guys check it out.

Barely starts, do you mean barely turns over, like the battery is low, or it turns over fine but doesnt start? What the outside temperature when your trying to start it?

If they sit for more than a few days to a week it does seem like the rpms are at a low growl for a bit at first. I'll let one of the more expirienced guys here tell you more for an about it. Maybe the warm up period is longer now with the Akra on.

I have noticed that the 636 does not seem to have an automatic fast idle when cold like my CBR and Aprilia does. Cold starting on the 636 sucks as a result. I found that turning the idle up just a tick helps though.

Turn up your idle a little. I have mine at 1500 because it has the Race kit ECU and any lower it keeps jumping/ huntingbetween 900& 1400 rpm. A little lean. Also run some RXP in the tank just incase it's a fuel issue.
