squeal coming from gas cap?

Oh ya also make sure that the hose that runs to the filler neck to let water excape is not pinched under the tank.

thanks for all the feedback guys it does get worse on close to an empty tank so ill just keep it topped up. i have it going in for service tomorrow so i'll post what the dealer says. likely the same thing. pain in the *** having tho open the tank every so often though.

ikendrifla your bang on cause the hiss is coming from thekehole.i brought it in for service today and the shop said its normal and they cant do anything about it.

Mine does it and beleive me I asked lots of people and that is what I figured out and was told by a couple of people.

I did not believe it at first but when it started doing once after I parked the bike I fliped up the key hole cover and put my finger over it and the noise was quite So I guess you learn from trying things once in a while.

I haven't noticedmine doing it. There must be a vent line clogged or restricted.

my 06 does the samething its just pressurized fuel coming back into the tank, and the tank depresserizing. if you take your key it will let all the air out.

It shouldn't be doing that because the tank is vented. That is what all the hoses are for. Kawasaki should have a service bulletin for this if everyone is complaining about the same problem. Ask your dealer.

I looked into mine and the hose goes from the filler neck out was pinched between the bottom of the tank and the frame. If you had your tank up and did not pull the hose down it is most likely pinched. It will not slide back into place because it goes through a holder. Mine has not done the squel since I fixed it I will take pics if you all want or call me 727-688-7010 mike
