And is it a bad idea for city commute, SF/Bay area?

 

I wouldn't pay your asking price. There may be someone out there though.

 

thats a little on the high side especially you can buy a 2002 zx6r for $2500 all day

 

here in the Sf bay area bikes sell on the high side, gas prices alone drive up value in the city.
A 98 that's kind of steep still imo.

 

Usually i dont sell my bikes for much less than i buy them. However I take pride in my rides and dont abuse them. U can always crag list your bike see what similar bikes in your area are selling for (especially since it seems bikes sell for a higher $$ in your area) that should give you a base line and go from there.
