Default New To The Forum and ZX6R question

Hi everybody,

Basically my buddy has offered me his ZX6R with 28000 miles for 1500. I wanted to know what I should expect from this bike, I feel like it's a good price and it only has minor scratches but I'm not sure because the only thing I've been riding is a Suzuki GS500. Thanks for all the information and help.

Sounds like a potentially good deal. I have the same questions, though; what year and what mods? How well do you know your "buddy?" If you've seen him running the crap out of it and doing stupid stuff, you may want to think twice. However, if he's a reasonably responsible individual, does routine maintenance, treats the bike better than some other things in his household (a-hem), then you're likely gonna be pleased.
Give us a few more details before you ink the deal. (For example: Define "minor scratches.")
We'll help if we can.

yea i paid 2300 for my 95, but it had 37k on the odo. if hes a good friend and you ve known the bike for a while id say jump on it, but he could definately get more for it. start it upfeel for a shake in the motor, be sure it idles well, etc...

What color is it?

Haha JK. It sounds like a good price if there is nothing wrong with it. And it that is the style and age of bike you are looking for. Should be lots of fun vs. what you have now!
