RE: New To The Forum and ZX6R question
Don't sweat the mileage. Depending on how your friend rode it, be more weary on the tires, suspension, chain, etc. These engines will run but a compression check or leak down may be usefull.

RE: New To The Forum and ZX6R question
If it's been well taken care of, then it's a great deal, and you should jump all over it. These bikes are nothing like the ones that were out 20 years ago. They are a lot more reliable, and run a lot longer. It used to be, bikes were worn out after 15k miles, and were ready for the scrap yard. Not so anymore. It would be a good bike to learn on, and chances are, you're going to lay it down at one point or another. Better to lay down an old ZX6R than a new one! Just ask BN.
