Default motormount nut

I bought some frame sliders recently and just put them on, when tightening the right side the nut stripped. I tried to speak witht the kid at the local kawasaki dealership, but I am pretty sure he ordered the wrong nut. I am wondering if anyone has done the same thing and knows where else a similar nut could be found.

When you say "nut", do you actually mean the bolt that holds the frame slider on. Not trying to be sarcastic, but I haven't personally seen a frame slider that uses any nuts for attachment. Usually there is just a long allen head bolt that goes thru the frame slider and directly into a threaded hole on the bike frame.

If it really is a nut you are referring to, just bring the bolt to the hardware store and find one that will thread on correctly. It's usually best to use stainless steel, or grade 8 hardware. If you stripped the threaded hole on the frame, purchase what is called a "heli-coil". They are used to repair stripped threads and are very easy to use.

There is a nut on the back side, inside behind the mount tab. I would take one of the bolts to the local hardware store, and just buy them. Get grade 5, or 8. They should only be fifty cents to a dollar each.
