What mileage would you expect out of a newer sportbike with average maintence practices. Just to get opinions..I've heard everything.

 

My bikes go 45,000 to 60,000 miles before I get new ones. Those bikes are still on the road after I sell them too! It's all about the maintainence.

 

Should run just as long as your average car engine. These things go forever. They are a little less forgiving if you miss maintainence it seems sometimes though.

 

That's a lot. I'll be happy if I can get 30k out of mine.

 

It all depends on how you use or abuse it. If you take care of the maintenance & chanege the oil & filter regularly, it'll last you a long time. Also the operating conditions & surroundings matter. In a dusty or sandy area, the motor will wear out sooner but you can always rebuild it for another 50K miles or more.
