Kawasaki zx6r 636 2004 swap 05/06 head
Hello friends i want to ask if I change the pistons with the ones from 05/06 at this exchange or can i drive with the original ones. The problem that casts doubt on me to stay with the original pistons is that I want to grind the head with 0.1 / 0.15mm. I can also adjust the valve seat of the original pistons by 0.5-1mm. Don't do stupid job on your engine.
I did put 05 zx636 head on my bike.
You will need:
1.Head 2.Cam sensor 3.05/06 zx636 Pistons(will describe later) 4.Head/Head cover/Base Gasket are same as 03-04 5.Block 03-05 are same.
First , 05 Cam sensor on 03/04 has to be cut and wire to main harness. Second, 03/04Piston can't put 05 head on and use. You will fked up with yours. Becoz 05 Valves of Intake and Exhaust are larger then 03/04.That's why Valves will hit 03/04Piston .
I do DIRECT SWAP MY 03 zx6r with 05 zx636 Top End (Pistons/rings , Cylinder Head , Cam Sensor rewire n put a plug).
As you mention "adjust the valve seat of the original pistons by 0.5-1mm" Do you mean cut the valve seat wider of 03 04 piston?
