New to forum. I just recently picked up a used 05 ninja 636. It only had 680 miles on it and I've already put a 100 on top of that. Rides like a beast. One question though - I was at cruising speed (70 - 75 mph) and it was about 85 degrees outside - I looked down at my temp and it read 208. I haven't got on the throttle hard yet because I figure I still need to break the bike in. Is this too high? Should I get my coolant replaced/flushed?

how hot was it that day and how long had you been riding it at that speed ? did you just jump on the freeway and look down or were you rolling for a ways ?

 

until you get between 220-230, There should be no problem.

 

thanks for the input - i'll see if it starts to creep up/down and see how close it gets to 220.

 

i live in vegas i see 220 all the time, i give her a rest if it says 230 tho, thats for sure.
