hows it goin every1 im a newbie to the KAWI family so i just got my 05 636 Metallic Flat Raw Titanium i love it im also real new to the riding thing also..... but my questions to all ur 05 riders..... my friends also told me that bikes run like in the high 100 degree tempetures. what do yalls bike run@ like if u are on the highway and what temp. does it run riding thru the city..another thing do the fans come on at all times?????.thanks for ur help

sure will as soon as i get home and take some it sucks becuz its been raining down here in dallas area forever but i will get some up .....hey what temp. does ur bike run at on highway and city driving???

 

freeway it runs about 160/170 degrees and around town it bounces inbetween 200/215 degrees.

 

highway 180 deg and around town 210-220

 

ok kool i was wondering becuz i saw that the temp. gets up the there i was kinda scared that it was getting to hot but i guess it was normal thanks for yall help can wait to do things to it it so freaking awesome to ride yesterday was the 1sty day around there that we go no rain but looks like we will be getting more of it f*!*in rain but yeah will post pics soon later

 

yeha the temp is fine, i think it is at 245 or somewhere around there that the ECU cuts the ignition to let the engine cool down so it doesnt harm itself

 

Hell yeah newbie! Congrats, good choice and your going to have a blast on it. It's really gets going at high rpm and handels great. Watch it don't get away from ya til you get used to it.

hahaha, congrats on the new toy! As mentioned above, temps run a little higher on these new toys.

 

do a search here on the 636 forum. if you are worried about heat you could drain that puppy for the summer and put distilled water and water wetter in it. it will run cooler than stock.
if you see freezing temps in the winter then remove some of the water/water wetter mixture and add antifeeze before she freezes up.

you should see noticeable cooler temps on average. not much you can do about a 10 minute light in 100 degree weather though. in cali we can lane split legally so we dont wait at the back of the line in long lights. seriously... that should be a law everywhere.
