just bought my '06 zx6r... first bike ever! must have been high when i bought it because i have never even rode a bike before i bought it. Catching on quick.. anyway, i need an alarm. has anyone heard of aolin? they're a pretty decent price on ebay. a few people in some diff. forums are pushing the scorpio. a bit more pricy, but of course worth the investment. I'd really like to go with a two way paging system. anybody with any knowledge of bike alarms, help a brother out! thanks guys.

 

the scorpio is just a direct plug in from what i have read. they are a bit pricy but well worth the investment if you need a alarm. always like plug and goes. dont want to do factory harness cutting any more than i have to here. sorry i dont know anything on aolin.

 

Scorpio's the best on the market right now although I am hearing some good stuff about the Inter Natrix TW-400 advertised here to the right; and it's less than 1/2 the price. It has similar features to the scorpio. You should definitely check them out.

 

were getting a disc alarm......weve got full coverage...if they want the bike they can have it.....all i gotta do is come up with a deductible

I have a scorpio alarm on my bike, since I live in an apartment complex I needed to be able to sleep at night. When I talked to the guys at the factory aritronix, the gave me a list of reasons a mile long why their alarm was superior. Don't remember any of it right now. All I know is that if someone gets too close to my bike the alarm lets me know. By the way I also have a disc lock, a chain and a bike cover. A little parinoid yes, but I would hate to have to break in a new bike again. The InterNatrix sounds like it does the same thing, only cheaper; more money for mods.

 

Can never be too paranoid about you bike. I have the Scorpio, a disc lock and a Kryptonite. My alarm has the perimeter sensor and the Anti-Hijack feature. If someone knocks me off my bike and Hi-jacks it, I can shut it off with the remote. Never keep your remote with the bike keys. Also I never leave my bike at Malls or Movie theaters and such. Gotta make it as difficult as possible so the thieves look for other targets.
