high pitch buzz between 9-11000 rpm for anybody else?
okay, very funny you guys... ya'll act like you ain't replyed to a post stoned before. the clutch lever's the clutch... i ain't gonna beable to save myself from this one.. anyway, thanks for the help for those who weren't pokin fun at my ***. i desirved it...
I WASNT POKING FUN, I JUST POSTED A PIC OF THE BRAKE LEVER INSTEAD OF THE CLUTCH SIDE, AND REALLY THE 200.00 PAZZO LEVERS DONT BUZZ AT 9000+ RPM'S
evik is telling you right. if you will touch the lever at that rpm the noise should go away. i was actually giving evil a hard time as he would do us the same if we had posted the same pic. thats the love around here.lol
ya, i'm feelin the love baby. anyway, ya, i figured if i squeez the clutch the noice goes away, so i'm just ignoring it. i'm guessing it can't get worse. it is annoying as hell though. might need to get a new clutch lever or something
figure that cheap *** aluminum lever vibrating enough to make it humm, ohh yeah it will get worse. heres a quick test to show you. go run your bike and let the levers humm, but dont touch it. then when you stop take off your glove and feel the part the lever mounts to, yeah it gets a little warm.
There should be a way to tighten or shim the lever. I never noticed the vibration because I always have my index finger on the Clutch & Brake levers at all times. You may be able to use a thin layer of good stick clear tape to shim between the lever and the perch/ clevis. Just make sure that it moves freely and doesn't bind.
Yeah, I think Speed has a good idea. Some teflon tape between the clutch perch and lever where the two make contact would probably work. And it beats spending all that $$$$$ on levers.
