Default HI temp on 636?

Hey guys I could use some help my 06 636 it is showing a HI temp reading after riding for only a few minutes and then coming to a stop or idle. As soon as I get back in the throttle the temp drops right back down around 155 or so. It seems to just be repeating this. Oh yeah and the cooling fan is not kicking in at any point. Any ideas to help?

the temp reading starts to jump fast 155, 180, 215 HI.. as fast as the numbers appear the next one is there and HI continously flashes until I get back in the throttle. Why it is doing it ? thats what I was looking for help with. and oh yeah it was 65 degrees out and I have a naked bike. I was driving in town top 40mph so it shouldn't be hot.

oh! that isnt good. air in the system maybe. anything done to your bike recently? fan not kicking in is a big problem for sure. how long have you had it? if you just got it then i would take it back to the dealer for sure.

Had the bike for a year and a half it is a salvage bike not sure if my warranty would be any good (isn't there some type of abuse clause in there?). I have been riding it all summer with out any problems. I did just flip the clip ons around but I can't figure out how that would have messed anything up? How would I check or remove any air in the sytem if that was the problem?

Yeah the first thing I checked was the overflow bottle, then after it cooled down I checked the Raditor itself both are full. Thanks I am a noob in some areas but not the common thoughts
