Hard decision!

RE: Hard decision!
The luck I have. I went to pick the bike up, and found that one of the guys that work there dropped it in the parking lot! I was pissed! The thing of it was he did'nt tell the boss, he quit. Can you believe that @$#@!!! The color was plasma blue. Now it's going to be two-three weeks before he can get another. I got the bike with an extended 4 year warrenty for $7599 out the door taxes title and tags tranfered. They gave me $5149 for my 03. So I came out pretty good just pissed at the whole thing.

RE: Hard decision!
The guy at the Kawasaki dealership that i'm getting my bike from told me not to worry about a break in period. He said just to take it easy for the first 500kms then I can lay on it and keep the rpms varying. Don't just cruise on the highway.
Any thoughts??

RE: Hard decision!
Do what the manufactor says to do for break-in period, this is the most crucial thing that you can do for your bike. No more then 4k rpm for the first 500 miles, then no more then 6k rpm for the next 500 miles. The mechanics where I work said that its okay if you rev past these points on gear shifts, as long as you don't go way past and don't do it in every gear. The way you break it in, will set the standard on how your engine will last in the long run.
