The digital gauge on the tach does not read temps until about 140 degrees F and normal running temps go from 170 to 200. Water boils at 212 degrees so anything over 212 is not good. I have only seen it hit 195 at the highest and I was stuck in traffic going up hill on the hottest day of the year in the middle of NH Bike Week (Weirs beach).

even so it is best to keep most engines below between 160-190
Kawasaki sells a longer fuel line; I try and get you a number. On my bike, the temp guagestarts reading at 104 and I have had the guage indicate 220 and flashing. At 230, the ECU will shut the bike off. That was during 100 plus days here in Texas. Average is 180-190. 175 on cold days.
yea the high psi the radiator cap the higher the boiling point, i was just wondering if it should be just like a car. So i will plan to have my cooling system keep it round 200, since i am using a diff radiator with a bigger fan, should be fine but i am thinking of running a Co2 bar over the radiator just to be safe if it did jump up for some reason. But yea if you could get that part number for the longer fuel line it would be awesome! just so that way i still have the stock fittings on all the lines.

The Kawasakipart number for the extension lineis: 57001-1578 and it's about 2 feet long. I think it was made for bike tuning purposes so you could have the tank off the bikeand still run the engine.
it's going just making the templates for the shock mounts and motor mounts so they can be lazer cut. it's a little tricky mounting this beast of a motor i can tell you that much! To bad there isn't any of you guys in SD for after i get it mounted to help me fire it up and tune a little bit!

So i haven't had any time lately to work on this thing but soon, i have the front shocks now and some other small things. i've had to dedicate all my time to my buddies race truck to get it ready for this weekend. so now i will have time to start working on the cart again!
