No I didn't repaint it, I did use some scratch remover to take down some of the "lip" from the clear coat on the tank, but the others came off nice and easy. Just remember that if you use a heat gun, not to heat up sticker in one place too long or you'll bubble the paint underneath. Just use enough heat to get the glue soft and use goo gone or similar to take off the residue.

 

hey remo, when you took the decal off the tank, was there still some clear under there?

 

As far as I can tell, there is clear under the sticker. There is no difference in sheen from where the sticker was and the rest of the tank.
