Default Cylinder head gasket blown?

Hey everyone - new to the forums! I cant figure out a problem

I have a ZX-6R 2000 J1 with 12.9k miles and think I might have a head gasket problem.

I dont do big journeys, just 2-10 miles at the most recently almost every day.

The oil looks ok(ish) and isnt milky but is slightly off colour and the oil cap does have "mayo" inside and the oil glass has condensation on it after every run. I know that its thought that the mayo may be caused by the short journies. There is very little white smoke from the exhaust too.

I topped up the cooland to top about 3-4 weeks ago (didnt need much) and is now about 1-2mm below (at the most). I checked the plugs about 2 weeks ago and they were all perfect colour too. The engine is easy to start with the choke when cold/cool, and runs perfect when im riding about (doesnt stall at lights etc), it just idles a little rough almost as though it is missing a beat like a head gasket.

Naturally i dont want to have to strip it down if i dont have too anybody have any suggestions what it could be? Always thought leaking coolant + mayo in oil cap = blown gasket (on my cars it has been lol)

So the next question is where is the coolant going if it is 1-2mm lower in the res? I think that your su****ion may be correct. Do a coolant pressure test to verify.

Welcome to KF.
