Hello, I just got a new cylinder gasket for a 1987 Bayou 300 4x2, When I took the old one off didnt pay attention to it. But now we are putting the top end back together and cant remember if the silicone bead on the gasket goes up or down. The book doesnt say so I need some help, thanks!

 

every time ive seen a beaded gasket, it was put on bead facing up...

 

(I'd still put a thin layer of sealant on both sides. I hate to do the same job twice.)
