Default cracked tires?

In between my treads of my tires are cracking. I was wondering if thats bad. The cracks aren't deep and dont really look bad.

They are porbably weather cracks.....Right now it is probablt surface cracking, But still not good. Once a tire starts to get cracks they will get worse from there. I am guessing your tires are old.. At least 2 years maybe... Once they start cracking, it will also change the balance of the tire, and cause the tire to have more runout.

If it were mine, time to replace tires.....

fersher man, run with them a few more weeks and you can see them get worse, get the camera and do one hell of a burn out and go get some new rubber.

I just bought the bike and they still have alot of tread left. The bike is a 98 and the condition of the bike is excellent. The guy barely used it. He bought it for his 16yr old daughter to ride but she got scared of it. So I'm guessing they have just been sitting on the bike for a while.

What do you mean by looking glazed over? They kinda look new and I mean there hard due to the air pressure.

More then likley if crakes exist in between the tread then there is damage to the rubber compound itself, and though it may or may not feel like it the tires will not grip the road as adequitly as new fresh tires would. To be on the safe side I would buy new tires, but if you dont just ride very carefully....

The price of new tires is cheap insurance to having the front end wash out and having to fix it before you even enjoy it!! JMO

yeah....trust me....front wheel washouts suck. I had it happen on my cruiser coming down a mountain (underestimated the amount of miles left on the tire). Thankfully I was able to keep it upright.
