My car weighs exactly 3243lbs

Whats your average 60'?
Average is 1.71-1.73 60ft time....2 weeks ago was a 1.68 - Stock length , no swingarm extensions. I can think of atleast6 street driven cars in my town that I know I cannot beat, highway roll or stop - it doesn't matter I'll lose, however none of those are a BMW. I'm not bashing your car, it is quick no doubt, but I don't think it could keep up with half the 600's around here.

FYI: Although he's a Pro, Ricky Gadson did a 9.98 second 1/4 mile on a stock 06 R6 with the front forks strapped down!

I don't want to take anything away from cars; I had a fast 69 Camaro myself. It was set-up as a roadracer and I used to give bike hell up in the Berkeley Hills. If you weren't a good rider, you were gonna get smoked even in the turns. It all boils down to the best combination of Car/ Driver VS Bike/ Rider. Also the type & size, power and money spent, etcof car or bike is a huge factor. It justtakes a lot less money and work for a bike to go faster and if it isn't fast enough, just get a bigger bike.

Breaking axles at only 300whp? Seems kinda low to be breaking axles.
i agree with the poster, it is possible, i had a 220 HP civic and i killed both bikes i tried. got a 750 gixxer and a 1000 TL

i really dont care if anyone believes it or not but it was true and i was only pushing 7 lbs of boost on a B20 (2 liter)

so i totaly know a car built right can take a bike. just takes alot to get it there

2 or 4 wheels definitely HOOK-UP better than 1 wheel of a motorcycle with a contact patch the size of your palm. Still with a good rider......................

I agree, i dont think there is necessarily going to be a consistent winner, there are a lot of factors... Weight means nothing by the way, I've seen a 7,000lb cummins diesel run a quarter in 10.2... I've driven that diesel, it's sick, we dynoed it at 840+ RWHP before we detuned it for drive ability. My point being, you sink enough money into something and you can make it fast look at the 86 civics you see running 9's. I wouldnt be caught dead driving that around, but I will admit it's fast.

Weight means nothing? Not exactly .... You take that same 840 hp in a 3000lb car and you're in the 8's. But you're right, if you sink enough money into things you can go as fast as you want.

most guys with "fast" cars that happen to beat a bike thinks they are faster then all 600s or all 1000s, i ran a 9.92@142 on my 05 r1, if you think a 400 rwhp m3 is going to take that then you are dreaming. i also sold a 02 gt that put down 540rwhp and it had a fuel problem so it should be putting down close to 600rwhp when it is all sorted out by the new owner. i raced my own car on my 05 r1 and slowly walk it from a roll due to gearing (you cant just down shift to 2nd on the freeway or you will be on 1 wheel even though 2nd gear would be optimal from a 60-80mph roll, actually on a r1 you would still be in 1st gear from a dig at those speeds) my car trapped high 120s and yes i took a lot of 600 class bikes, but when you step up to a 1000 you need to overcome about another 20mph trap advantage.

Not many people drag bimmers, but there is a few that are in low 10's. This guy has the same turbo set up as mine but a 2.8L (mine is 3.2L) and ran 10.76 at 136mph.
