I live in GA, where it's pretty much "Anythng Goes!" I love this state.

 

Same in Texas If a LEO wants to be a dick and he knows his bikes, he can be a dick and cite you for having a modified exhaust especially if you're doing somehing stupid or dangerous. Most LEO's have bikes or have friends & co-workers who ride especially Harleys and their bikes hardly ever have stock exhausts on them.

A lot of states are cracking down on bikers, especially stunters that do crazy crap on the public streets and freeways. So if your bike looks like a stunt bike with a cage or damage/ signs of stunting, you're gonna get pulled over. If you ride clean and with the proper gear, chances are they will leave you alone.

A LEO pulled me over for speeding and after he saw I had the proper docs, safety gear and a clean bike, he let me go. That was his explanation anyway. I'm sure he ran me through the computer for my records etc. It helps having a clean record
