On a side note...there is a kid here who got a '05 zx-6r new, and from what a friend told me, this kid would stand there and bounce the thing of the rev limiter a few times for a couple of days.

I just spoke with the tuner who dyno'd my bike. He has a new 05 R6 with 97 Dyno only miles on it. He is running the factory break-in oil and will be going to the trackday with me on May 1st. He said that he'll change the oil after the trackday to full synthetic.

This kind of goes along with this topic. I have a new 06 zx6r and just switch my tach back to show my milage and notice I already have 1500 miles on it. I had no idea I was riding it that much. What do you veterans recommend haveing done to a new bike @ 1500 miles. i.e. oil change, tune up, plugs filters?

notta change the oil at the norma intervol and enjoy. If your leaving it stock, just go off of your manual and have hella fun on the bike.

give me your email address and i can send u the manual in pdf form if u want.

since u changed your exhaust already i would pic up a powercommander before u put in the k&n, cause u may run a little lean with out it. JMO

hey gotrice could you send me the manual too. When i bought the bike from the dealership to get a good deal on the color i wanted i had to drive 2 hrs out of my way. In the excitment of the purchase i forgot to make sure they gave my my manual. Despite many calls to them and them telling me "it's in the mail" 8 mons later i still have no manual.
