Just brought the bike out from the winter storage. Bike wont start without a jump. once i take the cables off the bike still runs. when i cut it off, then try to start. As i keep trying to start powere seems to weaken to the point that it wont even start. then back to square one. Battery is good.
Any idea??

Never leave the battery in a stored vehicle. You should remove it and leave it stored in a cool dry place. Also plug it into a trickle charger every month or so to keep the acid charged. The battery went too long without a charge and the acid is now bad. Get a new battery and keep it out and charged during storage.
They are both 12volt systems, the only way you will cause any harm is if you hook them up backwards. You can jump start a bike with a car no problem.

Battery maintainer is the only way to go. Install a 12 cig/accessory plug on the bike and then all you ahve to d is plug it in once in a while or even once a week. The smart battery tenders are just that smart enough to not over charge.
