Default 1996 ZX6R

I am new so bare with me. I was jsut wondering what would be the best brand or type of oil to run. the bike has 33000 miles on it. also need to know what would be a good tire for a begginer like me. I'm leaning towards a metzler m3 or m1. any suggestion would be great i just want a tire that is going to be good for me being new. thanks for any imput.

The oil you should use is 10W-40 thickness... i use Mobil 1 racing for motorcycles. As for the tires i recommend Michelin Pilot Power 160/60 on the back if you don't use to make burnouts (they are expensive and very good to destroy them in burn)

Welcome to the forums!

I personally run Mobil 1 Racing 4T motorcycle oil. It is a full synthetic designed for wet clutch bikes. As far as the tires, being a new rider you will want a decent tire that will last a good while. Buying a Metzler or Michelin will be a good tire but more than you need, I am sure you will never push those tires to there limits and they will be dead after 2000 miles or less. I really like the dual compound of the Bridgestone BT014's that came on my bike and they still look good after 3000 miles and there is no chicken line to be seen. Also the Dunlops are a real good beginner tire that will handle good and last a long time.
