Default 1993 zx6r piture??

looking at buying a '93 zx6r from a friend and cant find a pic of one on the internet. Before I make the trip to look at it I'd like to see what one looks like. Its cheap. but it has been sitting for awhile. tires need to be replaced. New battery and carbs need to be worked.
It has a few paint chips but never laid down he says. He's in a tight and needs money. He wants $500.00 for it. the NADA is 12-1500.00 Are these good bikes? can you get parts? also there are 2 different 600 that year on NADA. He says its a zx6r not the other bike. How can you tell?

Thanks for the help ahead of time!

sorry to disappoint you but the dont make a zx-6r for that year. they started making those in 1995. the bike your friend probaly has is a zx-6e. which is a good bike. the other model on nada is a zx-6d. the main difference between the two are the zx-6e has two air scoops on the upper cowling and the zx6d does not. the d model is an earlier model so you are going to be getting the newer of the two. and for that price you cant beat it. you can go to this website
http://www.kawasaki.com/default.asp?...CCatItems.asp?
you need to click on accessories, then click on motorcycles, the click on the zx-6 m/c, the choose the year you can look at the specs and there are pics too.

Not disappointed.... Glad for the info. He told me it said "zx6R" on it, but you never know what people have done before him. Thanks for the info!

I bought the bike today. 93 zx6r 9200 miles, still has original tires with 75+% tread. Bike has slight rash on right side. looks brand new. Carbs over flow????? ANybody direct me how to build the carbs?? I am pretty handy on dirt bikes and cars. I think I could handle it with a few pointers and how to's. I want to DIY as much as I can.

thanks

If you can do it to a dirt bike you will have no problem. I would suggest getting a service manual they do come in handy.

Here is a pic of my best mechanic re-jetting my R1, he is 12.

I just went through mine like 4 or 5 times before I realized my pilot jets were clogged. If your going to use spray cleaner get at least 8 cans and make sure you can see through all the jets. Also check your floats and make sure they are functioning, maybe the cause of the overflow?

Good luck.
