I have heard the same thing about the handling but the lack of power and extra weight in that classis a disadvantage. When we compare the 07 ZX6R to the 05-06 ZX6R (636) it's not on equal ground as far as cc's are concerned but to compare the 07 against other's in it's class is more accurate & fair. The 636 is in a class by itself just like the Triumph 675. We should compare the 07 ZX6R to the 05-06 ZX6RR and see the differences.

The intro stated "Stock 2006 636". I have had mine up to 163 uncorrected but ran out of room. Always worried about the cops. Need a long straight deserted road to do some top speed runs.

At an indicated 75 mph my bike is going 70 GPS corrected.
I hit 168 MPH indicated (uncorrected)this morning. I had a tankbag and a backpack on. There was still at least 1000 RPM left before redline when I let off. Was coming up on cars and a bend. That was with the stock air filter. I'll be installing the BMC and try to redo that run.It was nice & cool this morning.

Yeah, I was psyched! It had more tan 1000 Rpmto go! Now I am curious. I'l have to install my SpeedoHealer, the BMC filter and try in again. I'll put the PalmGPS unit on also just to verify the speed. Then I just have to find that same stretch of road empty again or another long deserted straightaway. Must have been slightly over 1/2 mile long straight.
