No worries. But check the obvious first again. Rad cap, flush the system, is the impeller good on your water pump, that kind of thing. 1 mile and 210 deg is abit much.

Our 07 6r has been gettin up to about 230 these last couple of days after sitting there for awhile at idle, something we're taking a look at. Typically it'll run between 210-220 in stop and go traffic. Which we figure to be normal, especially with the heat here in south texas.

The system has been flushed. Everything works fine, but the heat still rises at an unreal pace and the bike stalls when I downshift into first.

Im going to lift the tank this week and check the vent hoses see if they are crimped but I cant think of anything else.

if the water pump is bad it will get hot super quick, also if the thermostat is stuck it will heat up quick, if these bikes even have something like that. also if the radiator is clogged or block it will heat up super quick.

Did you bleed the system? There is a bleed fitting behind the head on the thermostat housing. Make sure all the air is bled out. If it still does it, the your thermostat is stuck closed. Replace it.
