overheating

Default overheating

i have a 96 kawasaki jet ksi ss and it runs fine when its hooked up to the hose but it doesnt get any water when is in the water ....can anyone help

It seems that your intake cooling hose is clogged up. There is at least couple of ways to go about this. You can either disconnect the inlet cooling hose between the jet pump nozzle and transom bulkhead fitting, or the inlet hose iniside the hull between the transom and the engine/exhaust. You will either have to blow it out using high pressure air/water or clean out with a wire coat hanger. If neither works, you will have to remove each cooling inlet hose/fitting and check it out.
