reading the new sport rider mag and sport bike mag gave me a new insight on the two bikes.......talking with so people and they said I should have got the RR its a better bike.....but when researching the two I found out alot...... the RR has higher compression with a rev limiter of 16500, better close ratio gearing which gives the bike the quickest roll on times compared to any 600, and gets slightley better gas mileage but on the other hand the 636 has more hp and tq, better 1/4 mile time, better top end, slightly lighter and is alittle cheaper....over all everything else was the same.....sport rider said unless you were really serious about track racing get the RR but if your not and you want an over all street and track the 636 is a much better choice......I would have to agree the RR is a great bike but is too race oriented for me plus I kinda wanted more power......what do you guys think?????

 

That pretty well sums it up good between the bikes. And that's what Kawasaki implied when they did the two bikes...one for the street and one for the track. The answer is simple...where do you ride the most?!

 

my thoughts exactly, when talking to my cousin I told him that the bike doing all the damage in the shoot out wasnt the RR it was the 636, and just because the little sticker and the price is bumped doesnt mean the bike is that much better.......Like remo said depends were your riding and my riding is done more on the street so in my case I made the better choice...
