does your stock clutch suck ? does it seem like after a few miles it fades away real fast ? is it just me or am i use to heavy duty clutches ?

side note, after i shift gears at speed, it felt like the cable was kicking back into the lever, any ideas ?
I've noticied my clutch being real inconsistent. I'ts been causing me alot of bad starts in my races.
The other thing I've noticed is towards the end of the race when the engine is running about 200 degrees I'm have trouble on
upshifts.

I bought a barnett series k kit that came with friction disks, steels, and springs I'll let you know how it works later.

id have to look, i got 3 free oil changes from my dealer and i used up my last one. i want to say 10-40 weight but they dont list the brand. would you guys recamend a heavier weight now ? seems that this time its worse then its ever been, first oil change it didnt do this. 2nd it did it but it really was running hot and in bumper to bumper traffic. but on the freeway it didnt do it. now its constintly doing it. another 100 miles and im changing the oil out anyway.

hey speed, are you going to hook up with tx and ride to vegas ?
TX, BigRig,

When are you guys going? And why? Is there something going on there?

Also Evil; have other Racers/ Riders had the same problem with their clutches? I have an 05 motor and would like to know if this is a common problem. The Slipper Clutch is one of the main reasons I got it. Also for the increased HP due to the upgraded top-end. If the clutch is a problem, then I'll just swap the top-end only.

We may be missing an easy fix here. now i haven read all the other replies so someone else may have suggested this but have you tried adjusting the clutch cabel with the spinning disc yet? i know that is exactly what it felt like when i adjusted it too loosely.

It could be slipping since you do a lot of wheelies, especially if you clutch them up. The plates could have gotten hot and glazed or even warped. Stick a Barnett in it.

if i killed it due to wheelies the kawsaki sucks ***** in the clutch dept. i know because i killed the clutch on my zx7 from wheeling that fat bitch. i have heard complaints about the clutch in the 05 06 before i even bought my bike so i think its a little weak in the clutch myself and have heard track junkies say its not up to par. so at least i know its not just me.

05 i have the adjusters dialed in perfect before i even swapped the levers and re did it after and had a little issue with the adjustments that gr helped me with and since has been perfect.

speed, were going to lv because we can and we want to hang out and ride, probley check out the track in parumph and just chill.

When are you guys going and for how long? Get a Barnett Clutch kit; you'll be happy with it.

im waiting on sryans report on the barnett clutch. i also heard that swapping every other spring with a barnett one took out most of the squash feeling in the stock unit. (how if the plates are stock idk) and the barnetts are stiff as all hell. also heard the 03 04 clutch in the 05 06 was the hot ticket, but i dont have any solid proof to back this up or go on.

speed, if you havent been in the general section please go and see the latest. its now a mandatory trip to vegas for me, not just to go, but to finish what i made mad kaw start.
