RE: 04 kawasaki race cam ?
Never did cams in a bike before, but in a car I know that new springs are in need to compensate for the increased lift and duration of the new cam. Labor wise on a bike I don't know I've never done it before. I think you might be able to get away with changing the cams with motor in bike, but if you change the springs make sure the cylinder you'r working on is at -tdc- and the remove the sparkplug and fill the cylinder with air via compresor and leakdown adapter... so you dont drop a valve while you r changing springs... BTW welcome to the forum and good luck in you endeavor to more power...

RE: 04 kawasaki race cam ?
Cam work can be done with the engine in the bike. lemac is correct in not dropping valves. I am not sure on this kawi cam and spring combo, and also make sure that the springs are not too much stronger. Otherwise you could risk popped heads on the valves due to an over aggressive spring pressure. But this is where you need to do some more homework on with your provider in order to feel all nice and comfy with this endeavor. Good luck.
