I have a 2003 zx6rr and a red "FI" light under my oil light next to my speedometer is on and usually only comes on when i speed up to over 80. It will turn off afterI let my bike sit, but it will light up everytime I speed up. I dont have an owner's manual so my ONLY guess is that it has something to do with the fuel pump. The "FI" light means your fuel injection system is not functioning properly. take everything that has to do with the fuel system and clean it or replace it.

 

No, that's a waste of money. Get a service manual off ebay or download a free one and troubleshoot it. It will give you a code as to exactly what is faulty.
