Who was it that asked if it was possible to swap 03-04 speedometers with 05-06 ones? It can be swapped; no problem, no mods. the connectors are wired exactly the same. The nice feature about the 05-06 is the FUEL light that flashes when low on fuel. I bought one and will be installing it on my bike after the Blue LED backlight upgrade.

 

So you actually want to switch to the digital tach, or is the 03 the same way?

other than the fuel light the only noticable difference is the bottom display is reversed i think and on the 05-06 there is a line instead of a box

 

W'SUP Sup_uni? Wasn't it you who asked that question? Yeah, the bottom mileage & temp indicators are swapped but the guages mount up the same and are identical except for the internal circuit but will work with any years from 03 to 06.

 

no wasnt me i was asking if i could get an 07 cluster to work on an 06, i want the analog tach and gear indicator if i could even get that to work, i am planning on getting this done, just need to figure out about the wiring and the plug and harness, also have ot wait till there is one on ebay, i have been looking since the 07 came out and no oem pieces yet, i just want a bunch of oem pieces to try to hybird my bike, best of both gens

 

If the connector is the same, I bet it will be close. Just match up the signal wire.
