Default Kawasaki shopping

Hey guys, i need some help on buying a kawasaki in april. I have my mind set for a zx14, but the guys i'm riding with are making fun of me cause they all have 1000 cc bikes. They're saying i won't keep up and i can't do any turns on it cause of the size. I'm looking at comfortability for long distance rides and i'm sure the power is there. I just don't want to regret buying the zx14 for all it's worth. Is it worth investing in? ps....i'm 235 lbs if that's an issue.

What do you want to do with the bike? Do you want a sports bike, touring bike or what?

straight line track, the 14 is definitely doable. I cruised on my 10r a few long hauls. and I still feel it! Not a good 900-2000 mile weekend cruiser. For long cruises, I think the 14 or the connie would be a great experience. Good luck

The first rule of riding, no matter what your riding someone will knock it, its all part of joining the family. I have not tried the 14 but from what I hear it is a potent machine if you have the skills to carve it, however it is heavier which makes it more difficult to turn quickly, and also the throttle is retuned to make it smoother (Kawi doesnt want a big pile of new bikes in the ditch next to the dealership, bad for sales) which means that without mods it is actually slower in the 1/4 than the 10. Both issues can be fixed with skill and ingenuity and you can be faster than the 10.

Seriously tho, who cares what they think? Its your ride, get whatever suits you. If it fits, its comfortable, its fun, and its you then just twist the throttle till you cant hear them anymore.
