Default Fan Advice

I know some of you have probably ran the 14 till the gills on the heat index. Does anyone know where to get some lighter aftermarket fan blades for the 14?

Cik, the Muzzy fan has more blades and is made of metal. It probably puts out a higher CFM rate. You can also use the high performance coolants like Redline or Liquid Ice and reduce the engine heat.
There is a mod where you use your hazard light switch, for a manual fan switch. If you wire it right, your fan still cycles automatically as before. But on hot days and lots of street lights, you caan just manually turn on the fan and let it run.
Also Royal purple or Amsoil synthetic oil helps a lot too.

my 7 is a heat monster as well.. it'll be probably 10 times worse with boost after all is said and done.
the manual fan trick as worlok stated is the money ticket..

i imagine the problem with the 7-R's melting fan blades might also happen to the 14 as well? thats a common prob amongst the 7-R's.. melting the fan.. then, it'llpop the fuse and you're REALLY fuct then.

the $40 is wrth it if you see it as insurance.. or, do what i do and be a vulture.. wait til someone wrecks their sh.t, then either get it off the insurance company or see which salvage yard it hits, and be the first to the parts counter.. you can get all kinds of goodies off modded wrecked bikes.. might get rims, sprockets, metal fan blades.. cams.. who knows..

Thanks for the tips fellas. I've been on the fence on going synthetic too. I'm not sure if that's the best route to go since I'll be doing mostly commuting and touring miles on this. I'll probably do about 3-5 trackdays on the 14 since my 636 is my true track bike. But, heck I'm trying to make it do what it do!
