I was wondering if anyone else has had an issue with not being able to open there gas cap. The key was unturnable and I used PB blast and that made it so the key can be turned. But I believe the latches underneath that hold the gas cap down I believe are not moving when the key is turned. I was wondering if anyone else has encountered this issue and what was the fix or is there a fix to this. My last resort would be to replace the whole gas tank. Any help on this will be greatly appriciated.

 

You could un-bolt the cap from the tank and continue soaking it.

you will have no need to get a whole new tank just unbult it and put on an aftermarket cap
